Description
Follow the yellow blazes, yellow diamonds, or snowmobile signs. This trail starts off the east end of Shannon Pond and climbs moderately up on an old road. The trail passes by Winter Bypass and continues past the two spurs of Oak Ridge Trail. The trail continues to climb steadily, then traverses over a series of switchbacks. The trail passes by Bald Knob Trail on the corner of one of the switchbacks. The trail passes by Turtleback Mountain Summit Trail (on the right), and continues over a couple more switchbacks. During the winter, when the trees are devoid of leaves, there are decent views along this ridge. The trail continues to climb, steadily, to its end at Black Snout Trail.
