Point to Point
If you are heading to Beek's Place, you can expect a 5.9 mile out-and-back hike along Skyline Drive to a historic homestead with local historical significance.
Along Skyline Drive, you'll have great views of the Inland Empire valley and Orange County. The trail is mainly a wide path on Skyline Drive, but there are some singletrack alternatives which runs intermittently with Skyline Drive. The trail is hot during the summer, with zero water sources, so bring your own water and plenty of it!
The hike follows the road shared with limited vehicle traffic to access the equipment on top of the ridge. The trail is very popular during all seasons. Trail may also be used for trail running or mountain biking.
Beek's Place is the ruins of a stone cabin, and further down the road is a Doppler radar. The ruins are a great shaded location to have lunch and relax prior to heading back down the road.
