Leyden Creek Trail

This is a relatively flat and easy trail that runs parallel to 82nd Ave. The mapped portion shows a short loop that takes you up to the ridge line and then back down the trailhead, but you can also continue along the Leyden Creek Trail for about two miles until it dead ends near a housing development. From the Pattridge Open Space parking lot, follow the trail for just over a half mile and look for a faint trail leading up the side of the hill on your right hand side. This short but steep section will take you to the top of the ridge line where you'll have good views of the front range mountains. From here, follow the trail west across the top of the ridge and eventually you'll see some trails leading back down to the trailhead and parking lot. You can also do this route in the opposite direction if you want to get the short climb out of the way early.
