Loop
From the trailhead follow Cedar Gulch Trail approximately 1.3 miles to your first intersection, the map shows going right but you can hike this loop either way. If you want a more gradual climb to the top and a descent with some steep rocky sections go left onto the Mt. Galbraith Loop. If you prefer the opposite, turn right. After approximately 1.6 miles, you'll end up back at the intersection and can follow the Cedar Gulch Trail back to the parking area. There is one other trail intersection for the Nightbird Gulch Trail just past the first intersection if you do the loop clockwise. It is marked by signs, so you can easily stay on the Mt. Galbraith Loop.
