Hemlock Trail begins at the Expert signed intersection in the middle of the rock garden on Silvermine Trail. It begins with a gradual climb through pronounced rounded boulders to a rockier climb up the outcrop. The trail is the fairly level to its intersection with Black Bear Trail. Watch for an optional line to the right that will take you over a couple wooden bridges spanning some deep gaps between boulders.
