The Corbly Gulch Trail begins from a trailhead off Corbly Gulch Road in the Bridger Mountains northeast of Bozeman. A lower parking pullout accommodates standard vehicles, while high clearance vehicles can continue farther up the rough access road to a second pullout closer to the trail’s start. From there, the route climbs steadily through a shaded drainage and into a series of meadows framed by timbered slopes. Several creek crossings appear along the way, particularly in the upper half of the trail.
Expect switchbacks and increasing technical difficulty as the route ascends toward the Bridger Ridge. Some upper sections are steep and rocky, with rooty tread and occasional exposure. At the top, hikers are rewarded with panoramic views of the Gallatin Valley and the surrounding Bridger Range. This route can also serve as a connection to longer ridge traverses or a climb to Sacajawea Pass.
