Description
This trail forms two loops in a figure eight configuration, including: the Dry Creek Loop and the Huckleberry Loop (which has five primitive campsites). It is popular for overnight backpacking and follows logging roads along the ridge and hills down to several hollows. Expect a mostly graveled surface along a moderate trail. Great views of Beaver Lake are near the campsites. Also note the interesting sinkholes alongside the trail. Notably, the trail is named for the now-extinct passenger pigeon, which once roosted by the millions here.
