Starting from the Pacific Crest Trail, climb on a wide access road to the summit of Windy Joe. The trail is a modest slope with several switchbacks and eventually one arrives at a small hut at the summit. Looking out towards the park (mostly west and north), the hiker sees good views of the mountainous interior of Manning Park. There is a pit toilet near the summit.
