There are plenty of branching trails in the area, so you may want to use the Mobile App to help stay on track. At the trailhead, you'll see a sign encouraging hikers to pick up a rock to help line the trail. From there, the trail starts out relatively flat as it follows the river's edge to a pocked wall layered in ferns. After passing a scenic overlook, the trail picks up a touch of elevation. On the way back down, the trail requires sure footing, and you may want trekking poles or a good stick to help.
