Description
Start at the Mount Beacon pullout, next to the General Store. From the obvious trailhead, hike uphill on the well-defined trail. Take the metal stairs alongside the broken-down railroad, and follow the red trail markers through the switchbacks to the south summit. At the top of the trail are the remains of the old casino and hotel, and the remains of the Mount Beacon Incline Railway. Great views of the Hudson Valley.
