South Manitou Shoreline

The trail is on the park map but is listed for only 10 miles even though it appears to be 13.4 per the tracker. Some places on the south end were hard to pass through due to downed trees so I had to go in the water almost up to my waist to pass through. There are some birds nesting there which was probably the most interesting thing I saw while on South Manitou. The beach was nice and sandy in some places but others it was stony so harder to walk. Good thing is that there was no bug problem since it was by the water.
