Point to Point
The trail starts on Stonewall-Panoramic Trail, climbing on the side of the Claremont Road. The road ends after a few turns and, for a while, you'll be hiking on a very steep trail, steep enough that it can challenge even the best hikers. The trail continues alternating short flat stretches with steep climbs, including fantastic views of the bay on of the Berkeley hills. The trail then reaches a fork in the wood with four trails departing in different directions. Take the leftmost. It goes downhill and quickly reaches Upper Jordan Fire Trail, which heads north. From there, the trail is almost completely flat and mostly shaded. Now is a perfect opportunity to increase your speed and relax. This trail is intended just as a suggestion to start exploring the vast network of trails on the Berkeley hills. Once you have completed this hike, you can come back to the same area and start exploring the numerous trails connected to this one to create your favorite trail mix.
