HBC Heritage Trail

This is a technical trail, not for the faint of heart you'll have to cross rivers without bridges and will need to be prepared to stay in the backcountry for up to five days there are bear caches and pads at each camp sight but beyond that, the trail is minimally maintained. It is worth the hard work though there are numerous beautiful views, and it is an excellent trail for experienced hikers to go on a through hike. This hike goes through various terrain from Mountain tops too beautiful valleys and meadows the trail is marked, but the marker can be difficult to find, portions of the trail are marked with red flagging tap saying "HBC Trail" and others are marked with kilometer markers stating the distance traveled. There are sights to spend the night at(From Pierce Creek TrailHead) Manson Camp (6km) Elevation Gain: 500m Elevation Loss: 530m to next camp Colville Camp (11km) Elevation Gain: 100m Elevation Loss: 100m to next camp Sowaqua Road Camp(18.75km) Note: There is a small tin roof shelter at this camp, but it is roadside Elevation Gain: 725m to next camp Campement Du Chevriui or Deer Camp (22.5km )Elevation Gain: 225m Elevation Loss: 200m to next camp Conglomerate Flats Camp (25.5km) Elevation Loss: 190 mto next camp Jacobson Lake Camp (28km) Elevation Loss: 215mto next camp Horsegaurd Camp (39.5km) Elevation Gain:605m to next camp Blackeye's Plateau (45.75km) Elevation Loss: 40m to next camp Lodestone Camp(55.5km) Elevation Gain: 200mElevation Loss: 300m to next camp Olivine Camp(65km)--> 9km and 900m decent from Tulameen trailhead
