Description
From the Upper Wapiti trailhead in the Taylor Fork drainage, follow the signage to Trail #35 which turns right off the Oil Well ATV trail, and crosses the creek before climbing gently through sage meadows. After dipping down and continuing to the right, where the Little Wapiti Trail continues to climb straight ahead, the trail crosses the creek again, then resumes a gentle climb on a well-benched trail through the woods to a major junction meeting the Minnie Wapiti Trail #203 descending from Pika point. This would make a great out and back for a more mellow sampler of hiking and terrain in this area. Note: The portion on this trail to the west and south of the Upper Wapiti Trailhead is not well-used and trail conditions can be variable. This description is for the portion of this trail between the upper and lower trailheads.
