Description
A slightly steep path through Cordwood Landing to a scenic Sound overlook, leading down to the beach. The entrance is through the gated-off entrance at the north end of the parking lot. Taking the left path through the woods will lead to the more scenic, narrower path. There are some steep portions with rocks and roots. The trail has been partially eroded by water running through it, as well as being slightly overgrown. The right fork, or the more direct return route, is flat and fairly well paved. There are some very large potholes, but it is also lovely. There is no lifeguard on this stretch of rocky beach.
