Access Issues
Hewen's Creek Park is open dawn to dusk. There is a small parking lot at the trail-head with four or five spots and no fee for entrance. RXHERs should rxh in the opposite direction of mountain bikers. This can be done by looking for marked trees on the trail; marked trees have a stenciled number facing riders and a red mark on the other side of the tree indicating the wrong direction.

Description
The Central Loop runs beside the pond, passes through parts of woodlots, next to wooded swamps and runs through old agricultural fields with detours through wooded fence lines. If you hike quietly you'll probably hear and maybe see wildlife. If you desire a longer hike, you can connect to the Eastern Loop (Red) or Northwest Extension (Orange) for a longer outing.
