Marshall Nature Area and Tom A. Freeman Preserve Loop

The trails on this loop sometimes get very muddy, and in the back end of the loop there are some small creeks to cross on muddy logs. This particular loop choice is the least muddy of the ones you could take to get all the way to the other entrance; the more southern route can become all but flooded. In the fall, the southern part of the loop can sometimes be difficult to keep track of the trail due to leaves on the ground, but the undergrowth is thin enough that you can cross through it easily in the problem areas to get back on the trail.
