Description
Access this trail from the trailhead before the west end of the Hiouchi Bridge on Hwy 199 off the Hatton Trail. During the summer months, there is a seasonal footbridge that provides access from the Jedediah Smith Campground. This is a lovely trail that heads next to the beautifully turquoise Smith River. Along the way, you can expect views of both the riparian (near-stream) forest and the old-growth redwoods. The southern end of this one connects to the River Trail and Mill Creek Trail JSSP near the !Stout Grove Trailhead and parking area.
