Hickey's Creek Trail

The trailhead is located behind the restrooms. This trail is marked in red, and is intended to be done in a counter-clockwise direction, except for the first half-mile out-and-back section. At the amphitheater, make a sharp left. Follow the trail until you reach a bridge and boardwalk over Hickey's Creek. After crossing, the trail continues until you come to the Palmetto Pines Trail trailhead. Following the trail to the left, you'll soon reach the North Marsh Trail trailhead on a boardwalk. There are markers showing which way to go for each trail. Go left to stay on Hickey's Creek Trail. From there, you'll travel alongside the creek until you have looped back around to the out-and-back section. This part of the trail is the most technical, with lots of big roots and uneven surface to slow you down. Lift those feet!
