Description
The trails here are a mix of singletrack/doubletrack with most on compact dirt. Rocks, roots, and ruts cover a large majority of the trails making the hike technical in a lot of areas. Dirt berms and switchbacks have been added by the local trail maintenance club. A section of the trail called Far East is the most technical section, but can be bypassed by hikers who are not up to the challenge. The trail is usually dry; however, during the summer/fall rainy season it's not unusual for portions of the trail to flood. When this happens, the county park service will decide whether-or-not to close the trail until conditions improve.
