Description
The trip out features a very steep hill climb for ~0.8 miles to start, along ridge line that with a slight elevation gain over a ~1.1 mile section then a moderate downhill for ~0.3 miles and finishing up with ~0.5 mile push up the hill to Bonneville Point historical marker. On the trip back (~3.25 miles), you'll enjoy the view of the reservoir from on top of the ridge line. Or you can avoid the return ridgeline climb by staying on the dirt road, going north, in the bottom of the valley. On the ridgeline, birds of prey can be seen navigating the ravines on both sides looking for food.
