Description
This moderate route begins at the main Herron Park Trailhead just outside Kalispell and follows a series of interconnected trails forming the park’s longest continuous loop. Expect variable terrain, occasional rocky sections, and a few brief, steeper grades. This route is shared with mountain bikers and equestrians, so stay alert at blind corners. While the trail is accessible year-round, conditions are most favorable from late spring to early fall. The payoff includes wide views across the Flathead Valley, bursts of summer wildflowers, and the chance to spot deer or hawks along the way. This trail can be completed in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction.
