Description
A roughly 1.2-mile steady climb from Horn Gap Rd to Rd 2060 and No Candies, this trail winds its way through some old Ponderosas. A bench mid-way offers a reprieve and a view of Mt Ashland. Recent Ashland Forest Resiliency efforts have made the top a burn pile, but this is a small part of an otherwise excellent experience. The Horn Gap Trail is often part of loops including No Candies, Horn Gap Rd, FS Road 2060 and other trails. This is a multi-use trail, so expect mountain bikers in both directions. Equestrians are seldom seen here, but could appear.
