Description
The Pacific Crest Trail: Oregon Section B is a 53.3-mile point-to-point section of the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). In this section, you'll pass through woodlands and grasslands on gentle terrain with little elevation change. As one of the lowest and driest segments of the PCT in Oregon, this is also one of the least scenic. The trail runs closely alongside dirt roads or logging roads for most of this section. The trail is moderately rated, multi-purpose, and open to runners, hikers, backpackers, and horseback riders.HIGHLIGHTThe first part of this section briefly enters the northern part of the Soda Mountain Wilderness. This area has a unique biodiversity where the Oregon desert meets the forest.
