Description
There is no immediate parking area for this corner of Memorial Park, which is wedged between I-610, I-10, Memorial Drive, and the railroad tracks. The closest parking is at the Running Trails Center across Memorial or the street parking along West Memorial Loop. This means the corner gets very few visitors compared to the Seymour Lieberman Exer-Trail or Arboretum, and also that it is impossible to fully escape road noise. The trail is less well maintained than other areas of the park as well. Sections can remain flooded/muddy long after it rains. Some parts of the trail are very sandy and have a good amount of shade from the fairly dense forest, other sections are a little more exposed and grassy. To get to the trail, you'll have to hike along Memorial Drive from the Living Bridge. The trail can either be accessed by taking The Triangle Trail north a very short distance, or taking the trail/service road that parallels the railroad tracks for an equally short distance. The other end of the trail loops back onto itself, but also meets the sidewalk along Memorial Drive.
