Plan with
Confidence
Currently there is work being done on the Hooks Creek Lake dam, and one can not go all the way around the lake,
Path Type
Point to Point
This is an easy path that goes through the woods to the other side of Hooks Creek Lake. The starting and ending points are not well defined, so it is mapped as starting near the Hooks Creek lake day use area.
As mapped, the trail goes down a paved road into the Lakeside Picnic area. It changes to a narrow dirt path, as it then hugs the edge of the lake. At the east end, a bridge/boardwalk crosses a little creek before heading west and back towards the day use area. It will intersect with the Yellow Trail before coming out of the woods and crossing the lake dam. Eventually it meets up with Perrine Road.
