Getting to the trail: There are at least a half dozen trailheads for this park, any of which are good starts. For first timers, it would be a good idea to begin next to the dog park, where a box holds maps that can be taken along with you.Starting at the dog park, you'll immediately head downhill until you reach a small stream. Along this stream will be two bridges that cross over to where the bulk of the trails are located. Head left for a longer loop (~2mi) and right for a short loop (~1mi). If you've decided to venture left, continue along the river until you're at the water level. There are multiple directions you can go at this point. To finish up your hike, head on the trail that leads away from the stream and do not cross any of the side streams. As you hike up this hill there will be many trails that intersect; however, maintain a straight path and you'll exit the woods in a field and the dog park with be visible on your right.Enjoy your hike! This is a great park that allows you to explore any distance. Most people are hikers, but you'll run into the very rare cyclist.
