Description
This trail starts from the trailhead off Bents Road and follows red blazes. The trailhead and trail is signed as Mountain Trail. It follows a series of woods roads and logging roads until it reaches a singletrack. Here, the trail scrambles over a rocky and eroded climb to the summit. *At one time, the Ossipee Mountains were an active volcano; notice the small air pockets, from escaped gases, in the surrounding rocks. The trail arrives at the summit of Sentinel Mountain, where one is rewarded with excellent views.
