Limekiln Loop

This loop can be done either clockwise or counter-clockwise. When hiking counterclockwise (as mapped), the first 1.5 miles are uphill and challenging, the middle 3 miles are mostly flat and scenic, and the final 1.5 miles are downhill (if hiking in the other direction, the elevation profile is very similar). There is a bathroom in the parking lot, and no water on most of the trail. There are a few rocks to dodge on the western half of the loop. There is a side-trail to an overlook the city of Lewistown. The 10k loop doesn't include this section, but if you want to add on some additional mileage, you can take this trail. This adds another mile total to the hike. The trail is usually snow-free by late April. Along the loop, you'll enjoy scenic views of the Judith Mountain Range.

This is a fairly new trail, except for the Judith Peak Overlook portion.
