Description
The Mahogany Forest section can accessed from a few different ways from the Keystone East or West parking areas. The most straightforward 'out-and-back' which, in this case, would also be and an 'up-and-down' would be to park at the Keystone West parking area. The top section in particular can hold water/stay muddy longer as it's in a valley and doesn't get as much sun. Early snow can also stick around in small pockets. Calling this 'Intermediate/Difficult' due to the length of the climb and some short pieces are steep(ish). But, for the most part, the trail is very clean and serious technical skills are not required.
