Description
Caracara Trail can be done in either direction. Start at the main parking area for Clapper Rail Trail on Park Road 66 and cross the road at the East end of the lot to find the trailhead. Once on the trail, it's an easy hike along a mowed grass path. For most of the hike you'll have a small wooded area on the right and tall grasses on the left. About two thirds of the way along the trail you'll cross PR 66 again, and the terrain remains about the same until the trail reaches an end at Clapper Rail Loop. Take a right onto Clapper Rail Loop, then another right at the observation tower to return to the parking area.
