Description
The trail starts on an abandoned road, near other trailheads, crosses a creek and then follows along it before heading through switchbacks up the hill. Although you can hear I-77 most of the hike (and see it, too, at least in the winter), you can still hear birds and other wildlife. Lots of ferns and trees this time of year. The last part is through a section of pines, coming out by a small parking area next to a gravel pile.
