Description
Parking for Panther Mountain Trail is a couple hundred feed down and across the road from the trailhead. The parking lot has space for maybe 4-5 cars. Use caution when crossing the road to the trailhead as the speed limit on the road is 55 mph. The trail begins by immediately gaining elevation through an area of pine trees. It's generally a well maintained trail marked with red blazes. Continue along gaining elevation for about 0.2 miles or so. The trail flattens out a bit before coming across a cool rock that appears to be sitting on a point. Then continues to gain elevation again before finally reaching the summit. The partially open summit provides great views to the south.
