Tower Fall is a great little trail. It's pretty and great for families since it is only a mile round trip. The trail used to be more spectacular and take you to the base of the falls. The trail was washed out a few years back so now the trail only takes you to a viewpoint from above and the switchbacks down to the Yellowstone River. I was fortunate to be able to see the base many times before it was closed. The trailhead is very well signed since this is one of the most popular areas in the park. It is located just past the tower junction. This area is full of bears. It's rare to visit this area and not see at least one so keep your eyes open. There is a large parking area and a general store with food and souvenirs. There are restrooms as well. The trail starts just behind the store. It is a short 150 yard walk to the overlook for Tower Fall. This is a great view but not even close to what used to be possible. Hopefully the park service can get the trail back in the years to come. The Fall is 132 feet. The trail ends at a spot right by the Yellowstone River. It would be easy to get down to the river and relax on the beach if that is your thing. The deep canyon is beautiful regardless of how long you stay. Warning: Do not try and proceed past this point. The trail was completely washed out and it would be very unsafe to proceed. From the base you can see the towers for which the falls are named. These were really one of my all time favorite falls to see. This is an out and back trail so take your time to catch your breath on the way back up the switchbacks.
