The Hemmed-in Hollow Trail is about five miles round-trip with over 1000 feet of elevation drop to the waterfall. This a difficult trail to hike with steep, loose rock and plenty of stairs to climb! Hemmed-In Hollow Hollow Falls usually is at a trickle unless significant rainfall has occurred within the prior week. When rainy, multiple other other waterfalls appear on the way to the big falls, making the trail slippery and treacherous.
It's easy to get down into the valley, but very challenging to hike out. Remember to bring trekking poles and plenty of water.
