Point to Point
This is a great area for kids to burn off all that energy! We saw tons of families playing all over the small sand dune hills and having a great time! There are two ways to access the sand dunes. The east parking lot, which has enough spots for a few cars. It doesn't have bathrooms, but it does have a drinking fountain. The north parking lot has the bathrooms and picnic area and also water; it is also the larger of the parking areas for the sand dunes. Either way, the sand dunes are located within a very short distance from both parking areas. The sand dunes are about 13.5 acres in size with plenty of fine orange-ish sand to play on. The sand dunes are an open area and you just go and explore wherever you'd like! Bring some buckets and shovels and let your kids build sand castles, forts, holes, houses, airports or whatever! On the edges there were some plants with some sticky barbs so just make sure that if you are walking barefoot to be cautious of where you step! If you forgot your water, both parking areas have water spigots which provide some clean cool water! Plus you can clean off the sand before getting into your car.
