Description
To get here, drive up W Canyon View Dr. on the west side of St. George until it ends and becomes BLM land. You'll drop down from the mesa into the desert where you'll see trails going off in every direction. As you look west from this point, there is a large gap in the land that rises before you. Stay to the right side of this gap and follow the gravel road up toward a water tank and parking lot. Climb to the parking lot (high clearance vehicles can drive to the lot), continue on to the fence at the top of the climb. The trail starts with an short easy climb but is soon followed by a nice downhill. There are signed easy and difficult routes to get you down the Acid Drops (this is primarily directed at the bikers on route). Once you are at the bottom of the Acid Drops turn left and continue down. Be aware that mountain bikers tend to ride this trail quickly. Be alert and aware of other trail users.
