This trail leads around the foot of the bluffs of Sam's Throne and up a crack in the bluff to a scenic lookout point. Notably, there are two prominent cracks in the bluff that are climbable. However, the south 'bear crack' is the easiest way to get on top of the throne. The climb is approximately 10 feet and can be treacherous and slippery when wet. Bring a good rope and have good upper body strength to clear the final few feet up. The view at the top is great, but should NOT be attempted by beginners. The risk for falls here is high and the closest hospital is an hour away in Harrison, AR.
