Description
This short trail starts near the Shanty Hollow boat ramp and leads back to a waterfall at the back of a canyon. The trail starts at the far end of the parking lot from the boat ramp, and there are a couple small signs pointing to the falls. Initially the trail parallels the lakeshore and is mostly flat and smooth. About halfway in, the trail leaves the lake and starts following a creek further into the woods, passing several rock formations forming the walls of the small canyon. This second section has a lot more rocks and roots in the trail with a few short climbs and descents to add some challenge. There are several side trails worn through this area, but generally the main trail is easy to discern and follow. The trail ends at the head of the canyon, where a small stream pours off the upper wall to fall into a small pool below before flowing off down the canyon towards the lake.
