Starting from the park office and environmental education center along New Holland Road, this route heads south on Chestnut Trail before turning left onto Buck Hollow Trail. Continue south as Buck Hollow becomes Pileated Trail for a short stretch, then turn left onto Owl Trail. Follow Owl Trail north until it joins Middle Road briefly, then turn left onto Cabin Hollow Road. From there, continue left onto Spruce Trail, followed by another left onto Coffee Pot Hollow Trail.
Coffee Pot Hollow curves northeast through a wooded drainage and eventually meets Beech Trail, which leads directly to the Sawmill Trailhead. From there, head south on Watershed Trail, staying on the road after the bridge to return to the environmental center. This route uses a network of well-maintained paths to create a complete circuit with moderate elevation changes and several directional turns, so attention to trail signs is helpful. Shaded pine groves, small streams, and frequent wildlife sightings make this a rewarding hike. The terrain is gently rolling, with uneven footing and muddy patches after rain. Dogs are welcome on leash, and the route is well-suited for a half-day hike through southeastern Pennsylvania’s protected woodlands.
