Point to Point
The trail starts with a moderate climb up a wide gravel path. About 0.7 miles up, the trail switches to singletrack. This is where the climbing really picks up. The trail goes in and out of wooded sections with intermittent scree slopes. When the trail flattens out in a wooded area, follow the signs and you'll come into a rocky meadow. As you pass through the meadow, you'll start to hear the waterfall. Watch your footing; this section is rocky and can be muddy as the snow thaws. After crossing the meadow, you encounter the creek for crossing. To your left is the waterfall. The trail crosses at the log jam. A few more switchbacks take you to the lake.
[Continue from here! I only made it to the stream crossing due to snow.]
Some Issues
Trail is steep and rocky to first lake. Trail to second lake is difficult to follow with multiple side routes. Return from second lake has multiple side routes make finding correct trail challenging without GPS or map and compass. Hike is very well worth the trail difficulties.
