Description
The trail is well marked. There is parking directly in front of the trailhead as well as restrooms and a nice amphitheater for group gatherings. The trail is a little slippery in areas and steep occasionally. Wind up the paved walkway to the amphitheater where you'll see the trail. Head north and then hook left across a gully. This will wind up and continue to a doubletrack. Make a left here and stick to the wider trail, which looks more like a service road. Behind you are amazing views of Lake Perris. At about 2 miles, you reach the summit where you can continue forward down a much steeper section of trail to the Ya'i Heki' Indian Museum. Most people opt to return the way they came up.
