Description
The Trans Canada Trail starts at Reesor Lake. Enjoy the views of Battle Creek as you rise up above the lake. Only a few fleeting views of the lake through the trees until you reach the Reesor Lake viewpoint. Cross the road to continue to Spruce Coulee Campground. This section has rolling hills through trees and meadows a few downed trees in the first few tree sections. Great view of the prairies, farms, and ranches to the north. The trail is a dirt singletrack.A steep climb on the gravel road from the Spruce Coulee backcountry hut connects the Trans Canada Trail to Spruce Coulee Trail. This is where the downhills get fun. The trail widens and has roots through some sections. A couple of small bridge crossings in the low lying areas.
