Tunnel Drive

Beautiful trail along the river. It passes through 3 man made tunnels, one nearly 100 yards long!

Description
The only steep part of this trail is in the beginning, and it is paved. After the first 1/4 mile it becomes a wide, level gravel trail. The tunnels are all in the first half mile, but the views of the Arkansas River continue for the duration of the hike. There are numerous picnic tables and benches along the way, but no shade. It was a very easy 4 mile R/T hike high above the river. There is plenty of parking at the trailhead, and a restroom, which was closed.
