The trailhead is obvious and well-marked. The trail heads out and splits after approximately 0.5 miles. Heading north and west, the trail climbs gently into the trees, where the trail becomes more about the dirt, roots, and rocks than about the sand and overgrowth trying to reach out and grab you. At its highpoint the trail crosses over some rock formations (nothing requiring scrambling), before dropping back amongst the trees to return you to the junction and the trailhead. This is simply a great hike if you are looking for something short and different, but still easily accessible and close.
