Bridal Veil Falls Lookout Walk

The Bridal Veil Falls Lookout Walk is a short and easy hike located in Arthur's Pass National Park. This trail travels near a river to Bridal Veil Falls Lookout. This out and back hike is 1.1 miles long and gains 239 feet of elevation.This hike starts from Devil's Punchbowl Car Park off of W Coast Rd. Begin hiking north on Arthur's Pass Walking Track. You will be walking in an open valley with mountains on both sides. You also can see Devil's Punchbowl Falls in the distance. Cross over Wardens Creek and continue for 0.1 miles to reach a junction. Take a right at the junction to stay on Arthur's Pass Walking Track. Cross the bridge over Bealey River and go left at the next junction.You will now enter a forested section of trail. Hike uphill through the forest parallel to the Bealey River. Another 0.3 miles of hiking will bring you to a flatter section of trail. Enjoy 0.1 miles of relatively flat hiking before coming to a junction. Go left here to reach Bridal Veil Falls Lookout. You will have a great view of Bridal Veil Falls and the mountains in the distance. Once you have taken enough time to enjoy the views, turn around and retrace your steps to return to the trailhead.Arthur's Pass National Park is open for hiking year round. There are no associated fees to hike here. Dogs are not allowed on this trail. The Bridal Veil Falls Lookout Walk is a great hike for hikers of any ability visiting Arthur's Pass National Park.
