Description
The overall vision for the Spring Branch Trail project is a trail connection from Addicks Reservoir at the Chatterton Dairy Ashford Hike and Bike Trail to the White Oak Bayou Hike & Bike Trail. Since it is being built in phases, it is mapped as the main trail east of the Emnora Lane Hike & Bike Trail and this trail to the west. The trail begins at Shadowdale Drive and runs east to Gessner with intermediate access at the Triway Crossing. The trail crossing of Gessner is a staggered median crossing with an on-demand pedestrian signal. This crossing connects to the Emnora Lane Hike & Bike Trail. This is on a powerline ROW so don't expect any shade unless a cloud passes overhead. A future development will be extension to the Chatterton Dairy Ashford Hike and Bike Trail, currently termed "Phase 4".
