Lost Goldmine Trail: West

This trail, starting at the Broadway trailhead, connects the Jacob's Crosscut Trail to the Petroglyphs Trail on the southside of the Superstition Mountains, continuing on to Cloudview Avenue where you can access the Petroglyphs and the rest of the Lost Dutchmine Trail (just follow Cloudview Avenue, which is paved for 1/3 miles east). The trail is well marked and fairly easy to hike, no elevation gain, no scrambling, etc... just a couple of small washes. Once you leave the trailhead, you go 0.5 miles and the trail splits. If you go north, you'll run into the Jacob's Crosscut, if you head east it will lead you to the Cloudview Road parking lot with access to Petroglyph Trail. After one mile, you go through a cattle gate, and from there on you'll be hiking parallel to the BLM fence. The views of the Superstitions are always amazing. The Broadway Trailhead has about 5 parking spots, you'll need to get there early if you want to park.
