The Grosse Ile Parkway that leads up the the Grosse Ile Parkway bridge that connects Grosse Ile Township to the rest of the Downriver Communities has no trail facilities, or shoulder for trail users to use. The bridge also only allows for a narrow passage way.
Grosse Ile Township and the Downriver Linked Greenway Initiative are working to improve this access issue.
