Description
This is a section of the main Purple Trail that can be used to create a loop from the main Ball Fields Parking along with the Red Trail if you start on the Purple Trail. This trail begins at the parking area of the rugby pitch and can be used to access the field. It then heads south in the thick forest. At an intersection with the Red Trail and Yellow Trail, it heads west a bit. Continuing west will take you to the Purple Connector that leads to the railroad tracks. The trail heads south to connect with the main Purple Trail. Immediately before the Purple Trail is a connection point for the Yellow Trail. This is a sandy singletrack trail that is popular with hikers and bikers, so be prepared to step off to the side from time to time. The Purple Trail is considered "easy" by the park, and I agree with that assessment.
